It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing to higher service of our wonderful dear friend, Lion Nigel Gibby. Lion Nigel passed away peacefully on Sunday, 8th December 2024, at The Grange Hospital in Cwmbran, with his beloved daughter Sara by his side.
Lion Nigel was a dedicated, long-serving, and hardworking member of our community. He served as President of our club twice, from 2013 to 2015, and was recently awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship in recognition of his unwavering dedication to supporting the community. His contributions extended far beyond his official duties; he was always ready to lend a helping hand, fully embodying the mantra, ‘Where there’s a need, there’s a Lion'.
Lion Nigel’s commitment and passion for service have left an indelible mark on all of us. His absence will be profoundly felt, but his legacy will continue to inspire us. We offer our sincerest condolences to all of Lion Nigel’s family.
Rest in eternal peace, dear Nigel. Your earthly work is done, but you will always be remembered with immense respect and great affection by your Lion family.
