Celebrating Caldicot’s 50th Anniversary
The Chepstow and Caldicot Lions are thrilled to have played a part in commemorating Caldicot’s 50th anniversary as a town. This milestone, marking half a century from 1974 to 2024, is a significant event for the community, and we are proud to have contributed in a memorable way.
To honor this special occasion, a beautiful banner was commissioned and now proudly hangs at the Caldicot Town Council. This banner symbolises the town’s rich history and vibrant future. However, the banner’s display wouldn’t have been possible without the sturdy pole it hangs from, which was funded by the Chepstow and Caldicot Lions. This pole is not just a support for the banner but a testament to our commitment to the community, ensuring that the banner will be displayed for the next 50 years.
Our involvement in this initiative is a reflection of our dedication to Caldicot. The town holds a central place in our hearts and activities as Lions. We are always eager to support projects that enhance the community and celebrate its achievements.
In the photo, you can see Lion President Denise Harrison alongside Caldicot Mayor Cllr Maxine Mitchell, both beaming with pride at the unveiling of the banner. This moment captures the essence of our mission: to serve and support our community in meaningful ways.
We look forward to continuing our work in Caldicot and beyond, fostering a spirit of service and community for many more years to come. Here’s to the next 50 years of Caldicot’s journey!
