Lions pave way for inclusive community garden

Chepstow and Caldicot Lions support the Caldicot Community Garden with a new path.

Today, Lions had the pleasure of presenting a cheque to the Community Garden, a project that has been making a significant impact in our local area. This donation will fund the construction of a new path, ensuring that the garden is accessible to all, including those with disabilities.

The Caldicot Community Garden is a vibrant space open from Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 1pm, where residents can receive fresh produce. Beyond providing food, the garden serves as an educational hub where volunteers teach people how to manage an allotment. This initiative is particularly beneficial for disabled individuals, offering them a chance to engage in gardening, build confidence, and achieve a sense of accomplishment.

The project is entirely volunteer-driven, led by the dedicated Dave. The volunteers’ hard work and commitment are truly inspiring, and we are thrilled to support their efforts. We look forward to seeing the completed path, and will be delighted to share photos of this milestone when it is completed.
